Not a government site

StateDues is an independent website. It isn't run, endorsed, or funded by the California Franchise Tax Board, the California Secretary of State, the Delaware Division of Corporations, the Wyoming Secretary of State, the Texas Comptroller, the Nevada Secretary of State, the New York Department of Taxation and Finance, the Florida Division of Corporations, or the IRS. To file or pay, use the agency's own website. The contact page lists them.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or accounting advice. Guides explain how a rule works in general. Whether it applies to your company depends on facts we don't have, such as where you have employees or property and how your revenue is sourced. For a decision that costs real money, ask a CPA or a business attorney.

What an estimate can and can't tell you

A calculator result follows the published formula applied to the numbers you enter. It can be wrong if an input is off, if you qualify for an exemption or credit the calculator doesn't model, or if the law changed after the page was last reviewed. Each guide shows when it was reviewed and which sources it used.

Affiliate disclosure

Some pages link to Mercury, Northwest Registered Agent, Pulley, Kruze Consulting, and Gusto. We may earn a commission if you sign up through those links, and it doesn't change what you pay.

Partners have no say in what we write. The calculators don't know about partners and never factor them into a result. We only link to a partner where the service is relevant to the page, such as a registered agent on a page about forming in a state where you don't live.

Paid filing service

If you use the done-for-you filing option, we charge a service fee on top of the state's fee. Both are shown to you before you pay. The terms explain how filing requests work.
